Indian Muslim women protest againt muslim leaders against marriage of girls at 16

In India the legal age for marriage in India is 21 for males and 18 for females. Muslim organizations are pressing for the change in law. They want that the age for marriage of Muslim females should be 16 and for males it should be below 21. As per All India Muslim Personal Law Board the minimum age is Puberty which is presumed to be reached at 15. On Saturday, a group of Muslim women protest after comments from Muslim organizations and clerics supporting the recent circular to legalize marriage of Muslim girls who had completed 16.

On Friday after facing criticism congress led UDF government in Kerala modified its circular issued to legalize marriages of Muslim women in age group of 16 and men below 21.

There was an  incident in 2012 when a 15 year old Muslim girl left her home and got married. The Delhi High Court acknowledged the marriage and said Muslim girl can marry at 15 if attains puberty.
 "This Court notes that according to Mohammedan Law a girl can marry without the consent of her parents once she attains the age of puberty and she has the right to reside with her husband even if she is below the age of 18"
This shows Indian Courts rule by sentiments and not logic.  The court is considering Mohammedan law, now will the religious text influence law of the country. When you appease one religion where does it end ?

Muslim organizations are pressing for a separate law according to their religious beliefs and are showing reluctance to follow law of the country.  If they consider themselves Indian then why can't they follow Indian law ? This is because for Muslims their religion is above the country.

The government shouldn't even entertain such petitions but the Congress led Indian government doesn't want to make Muslims unhappy because Muslims are their vote bank, they try every thing to appease them.
